IIAI 2006 Achievement Award Winners

McGowan Insurance Group, lnc. of Indianapolis, IN received the llAl Agency of The Year on November 11, 2006 in an awards ceremony at the independent Insurance Agents of Indiana Annual Convention. The Agency of the Year Award criteria is detailed and intense. Agencies must show exemplary performance in the areas of Agency Production, Marketing Plan, Perpetuation Plan, Management Marketing Tools, Automation, and Industry Involvement.

In summary, the award is presented in recognition of an outstanding example of an independent insurance agency. The stringent and intense criteria for this award did not dampen the spirit or lessen the competition for this coveted award. This year's recipient demonstrated achievement in all of these areas and more receiving the highest marks in the areas of Marketing Plan, Perpetuation Plan, Agency Automation System and Industry Involvement.

Two generations of this family business as well as other agency personnel have received llAl Achievement Awards including the Harry P. Cooper Public Image Award, Agent of the Year Award, Distinguished Customer Service Representative, and Young Agent of the Year Award. Individuals with this agency have been actively involved in the CPCU Society, served on Agent Advisory Councils for several insurance companies, and served on numerous llAl committees and Board of Directors.
