Norma Boyd
Account Executive

As an insurance professional for over 22 years, Norma began her insurance career as a commercial underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Company. Specializing in all sizes of accounts and associations, she also held positions of supervision and management there for 15 years. For the next five years, she took a position as a territorial manager at Travelers Insurance with the state of Indiana as her territory. With both Hartford and Travelers, she put together numerous association programs from scratch and managed other existing ones. More recently, Norma took a position managing one of the business units at McGowan and serving as a producer inside and outside of the unit. Association business is one of the specialties of McGowan Insurance Group.

Norma graduated from Butler University with an undergraduate in Music Education and a minor in business. After teaching at Noblesville High School and Conner Elementary for five years, she completed her MBA with a business management focus, also from Butler University, and moved into the insurance industry.

Norma is the IIAI representative for the ACT (Agents Council on Technology). In addition to receiving many rewards for excellence at both Hartford and Travelers, she was a certified sales trainer for Hartford and enjoyed the position of top sales person four years running at Travelers. Norma also volunteers for several organizations, including Family Service, Meals on Wheels, Marion County Commission on Youth, AYS (At-Your-School Child Services) and WFYI. She is the board chair for Emergent Leadership Institute and GracePointe Christian Church.
