After graduating from Michigan State University in 1968 with a BS Degree in Mathematics, joined Allison in the Performance Analysis Division from 1968-1971. Started insurance career as a captive life insurance agent with Union Central Life Insurance Company in 1971. Obtained a Property/Casualty license in 1972 and joined a small agency, and from 1972 through 1985 was with two different national insurance agencies. Joined McGowan Insurance Group, Inc. (formerly McGowan & Stanley) in 1985 as a Life, Health, Personal & Commercial Lines Agent. Personal achievements include a designation of 32° Mason and Shriner and involvement with Hamilton Southeastern Football program since 1992.
